Employees of the Kaluga Niva enterprise joined the ranks of their farm in the village of Ulanovo by 195 guests - calves of the Holstein breed.

These foreign representatives of cattle will now be raised and propagated under the watchful supervision of Kaluga livestock breeders from the Medyn district.

Note that this batch of selected "Holstein" arrived on the territory of the Ulanovo livestock complex, accompanied by all necessary documents and certificates received from veterinary specialists of the Customs Union. Experts recognized all 195 specimens of cattle healthy in all clinical indicators. The speakers of the Rosselkhoznadzor shared this information with the public.

Despite full compliance with veterinary and clinical requirements, Holstein calves are now in quarantine: the livestock of foreign young animals was placed in isolated stalls without a leash in order to carry out the necessary additional diagnostic tests and carry out preventive treatment and vaccination of animals.

It should be noted that the Kaluga Niva enterprise is a subsidiary of the EkoNiva agricultural holding. This holding in the 90s of the last century was founded by a businessman from Germany, Stefan Duerr. Six years ago, Duerr adopted Russian citizenship and today is actively developing the domestic economy and the livestock industry. The priority of Kaluga Niva is the cultivation and reproduction of cows of the Holstein breed.
