Activities under the Visiting Veterinary Clinic project are nearing completion in the Vologda Oblast.

At the end of the project, volunteers who were not indifferent to the fate of animals arrived at the Mechanikova farm and carried out a routine inspection of the livestock. They also fortified animals.

“Students of an agricultural university came to us who are preparing to become qualified specialists in veterinary medicine and livestock production. - told in the farm. - On a volunteer basis, they provided our animals with veterinary care. This allowed students to test their knowledge and skills in practice, and our livestock became only healthier! ”

Today, students of the Vologda State Medical Academy, as part of the Visiting Veterinary Clinic project, practice performing simple surgical and other medical operations, as well as gaining skills in laboratories and in the field. According to the leadership of the university, more than fifty partial students-veterinarians carried out four visiting sessions. In some cases, they were accompanied by teachers who not only sent students, but rated them as full colleagues.

The project curator, veterinarian Elizaveta Fofanova, noted that the project will continue in 2019:

“The results of our visiting sessions showed a stunning result, the students did an excellent job with the tasks. And I have no doubt that next year we will be able to cover more areas and will be able to help more animals! ”
