Based on the results of a global study, NZMP, one of the world's largest producers of dairy ingredients, has identified five major trends in milk production this year.
A study conducted among food suppliers showed that the main dairy trends in 2019 will be: customer orientation on products that ensure healthy digestion; turning a snack into a full meal; environmental friendliness of food; focus on complete well-being and search for goods "with a twist."
Orientation of the buyer to products that would ensure healthy digestion, according to the study, is expressed in the fact that consumers increasingly choose products containing probiotics. Among milk, it is yogurt, considered one of the best products for healthy digestion. The transformation of a snack into a full meal is manifested in the fact that almost half, namely 40% of all meals in humans are just snacks. Based on this, analysts predict the expansion of the network of outlets offering light dishes made from healthy products containing healthy substances.
The trend of green food is manifested in the fact that over 40% of buyers buy food, marked with a mark on the purity and environmental friendliness of their production, even though such products are somewhat more expensive.
The focus on full well-being consists in combining physical, mental and emotional health when a customer selects a food product. This is manifested in the disappearance of demographic and sexual preferences when choosing products and their replacement products, symbolizing the overall harmonious well-being.
The search for goods “with a twist”, according to the study, is manifested in the consumer's search for a food product that has a message on the package that is addressed directly to the buyer.
