Businessman Yuri Martynenko plans to build a poultry farm with a capacity of up to 900 thousand heads and a feed factory on the lands of the Zhytomyr region.
According to a report on planned activities in the Unified Register of Environmental Impact Assessment, published on the website of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, it is planned to build six houses with a one-time content of up to 30 thousand birds each.
The site intended for the placement of the poultry farm is located on the territories of the former dairy farm, farm yard and tractor station.
In addition, it is planned to build a solid fuel boiler house, as well as local treatment facilities. It is planned to produce packaged poultry meat at the poultry farm.
For information, according to the State Statistics Service, the number of poultry as of May 1, 2019 at agricultural enterprises of all categories amounted to 210.3 million, against 201 million as of May 1 of last year. The number of poultry over the year increased by 4.6%.
Earlier it was reported that the leader in poultry farming in Ukraine is the Vinnitsa region. In January-March of this year, agricultural enterprises of the region managed to grow 125.7 thousand tons of live weight poultry, which is 32.7% of the figure for Ukraine.
