During the sowing campaign, Ukrainian farmers were faced with a shortage of personnel. Even ever-increasing salaries cannot attract applicants to the agricultural sector.
In particular, competition from colleagues from abroad has increased significantly. A huge number of able-bodied people in pursuit of a long ruble preferred to work in the fields of European countries.
In 2018, competition in the labor market was at the level of 3-4 people per place. At the same time, there was a large shortage of specialists in the agricultural sector, HeadHunter shares information. For such specialties as “tractor driver”, “agronomist”, “veterinarian” the ratio of the number of resumes to the number of vacancies was less than 1 person per place - 0.6.Last year, employers were in search of mechanics, chief agronomists, movers, technologists, pickers, laborers, etc. Salaries in many specializations tend to grow. Thus, the salaries of veterinarians in 2018 increased by 50%, compared with 2017, agronomists - by 80%, and tractor drivers - by 20%. It was previously reported that the labor market in the agricultural sector is in crisis. Young people are not attracted to work on the ground. And employers often encounter the phenomenon of “hosting,” when the applicant does not come to a pre-arranged meeting for an interview, and the person hired for work ceases to come to her, breaking off all contacts with the manager.Share
