On the territory of the Moscow region, employees of greenhouse complexes managed to collect a generous harvest of the first vegetables of this year grown in closed ground.

In total, the capital's greenhouses collected more than thirty thousand tons of fresh vegetable products, which, according to food market analysts, is seven thousand tons more than the volume of the crop harvested in May last, 2018.

According to experts of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, in previous years, such indicators of fresh vegetables harvested by domestic farmers showed no earlier than the end of June. Therefore, this year the employees of the greenhouse complexes of the Moscow Region have a significant reason for pride.

Going into particular, it should be added that the share of cucumbers in the total volume of vegetables collected in May is a little more than seventeen thousand tons. As for tomatoes, here we are talking about an indicator of twelve and a half thousand tons.

We add that vegetables grown in greenhouses in the Moscow region will go to the shelves of food markets and supermarkets in the region, as well as retail stores and fairs that will be held every week in the capital and major cities of the region.
