Fertilizers from Romania will first appear in Ukraine. At the beginning of this week, 3 thousand tons of urea were delivered to the port of Nikolaev from Romania, the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council (EAS) reports.
Romania has a EUR.1 certificate, which confirms the status of origin of fertilizer. Thanks to this, the procedure of customs clearance of cargo is simplified, and it is possible to adhere to the established delivery dates of goods.
“This is the first experience of cooperation with Romania, but it turned out to be quite successful,” said Alexander Buyukli, head of the Start cooperative. Ukrainian farmers intend to continue cooperation with the Romanian side. The next batch of fertilizers from Romania is planned to be delivered to the country in early May of this year.Recall that due to the high cost of domestic mineral fertilizers, Ukrainian agricultural producers began to look for an alternative abroad. At the beginning of this year, participants in the Start cooperative were able to import fertilizers from Turkey and Egypt into the country.
Even earlier they delivered fertilizers from Latvia. Farmers who have already used imported fertilizers noted their high quality and affordable price. For information, “The First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative” (PUSK) is a multifunctional service agricultural cooperative. It was created in the framework of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council on March 23, 2017. The cooperative unites 74 farms in 12 regions of Ukraine with a common land bank of more than 200 thousand hectares.
