The virus of African swine fever made its way into the territory of the Ulyanovsk region.
It is reported that the source of infection was detected in the village of Sursky Peaks. This village is located in the Baryshsky region of the region, and it was there that four individuals became victims of the plague, one of which was a wild boar, which lived in the local reserve “Surskie Summits”.
Based on information shared with the public by the press service of the General Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Ulyanovsk Region, in addition to adults, three pigs that were kept on the basis of one of the local farms later died as a result of the virus.
Today the region is ready for the introduction of a quarantine regime. It is known that the outbreak of African swine fever was quickly localized. Authorized experts took all necessary measures to prevent the dangerous virus from spreading throughout the region and beyond.
Now in the area where the case of animals occurred, the antiepizootic team carries out disinfecting and preventive work. It is noteworthy that experts equipped a checkpoint and control at all exits from the Sur Peaks.
