The charity project, designed to draw the attention of residents of the UK to the problem of cancer, was initiated by Andrew Wilkinson, who lives in East Yorkshire.
By the nature of his activity, 33-year-old Andrew is a farmer. But one of his greatest passions is technology. Including agricultural. For example, not so long ago Wilkinson constructed a copy of the John Deere 6820 tractor. The farmer dedicated the construction of this machine to the 12th anniversary of the death of his father, farmer David Wilkinson.
“My father died as a result of a long but unsuccessful fight against cancer,” Andrew admitted. - And soon I decided to initiate an action in order to draw with my work even more attention to the fight against a terrible ailment. I decorated my tractor with colorful lights. Spent four months of work on the creation of this installation, involved about 11 thousand light bulbs. And he called this project "Christmas Tractor."

Wilkinson’s idea turned out to be productive: people, looking at the “Christmas tractor” and getting acquainted with its history, transfer considerable sums to the fund for the fight against cancer.
“A year ago, the Christmas Tractor helped us raise more than three thousand pounds to help cancer patients. This year, I hope the action will be no less productive! The tractor, which this time I decorated with 11 thousand light bulbs, is very similar to the one on which my father taught me to ride. I believe that with my action I will help save someone's father from death! ”
