By the beginning of this month, employees of the greenhouse complexes of the Novgorod region were quick to share their professional achievements.

So, it became known that since the beginning of the harvest season of 2019, the region has managed to collect over fifteen thousand tons of vegetable crops grown in protected ground.

For a clear comparison, it can be noted that by the beginning of August 2018, one hundred and three percent less greenhouse vegetables were harvested.

The main production “heat” boils at the greenhouse facilities of such enterprises as “Trubichino” and “Agrokompleks” and “Agromarket”. Together, the employees of these enterprises managed to collect in their greenhouses a generous harvest of cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant and all kinds of salad greens. The total volume of this crop exceeds six thousand tons.

Meanwhile, on the basis of seasonal greenhouse complexes in areas such as Chudovsky and Starorussky, more than nine thousand tons of fresh vegetable products (tomatoes, cucumbers. Cabbage of different varieties) have been harvested since the beginning of the harvest season this year.
