In the Krasnodar Territory, a campaign has begun to collect the first yields of tea leaves from vast plantations. It is reported that today the fields planted with tea bushes occupy territories with a total area of over three hundred twenty-five hectares.
It is known that Kuban tea growers will finish harvesting in 2019, approximately in the fall. Based on the statistical information shared with a wide audience of analysts by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the current year's harvest should be at least five hundred and eight thousand tons.
It is noteworthy that it is on the Kuban open spaces that the northernmost tea on the whole planet is grown. Several varieties of tea grow on the plantations, and the packaging of the finished product is done by employees of six specialized companies at once.
It will not be superfluous to note that several years ago, thanks to the ideas of the head of the region’s administration V. Kondratyev, they signed a law in the Krasnodar Territory that stipulates the concept of the regional brand “Krasnodar Tea”.
As part of the development of the tea industry in the Kuban and in accordance with the law, only those manufacturers who use tea grown on the lands of the Krasnodar Territory as raw materials can put regional labels on their product boxes.
Otherwise, the actions of manufacturers not related to Krasnodar tea will be regarded as a violation of applicable law.
