According to the minister, since the beginning of the potato harvesting process, which belongs to the early varieties, farmers near Moscow have already managed to dig up over one thousand nine hundred tons of tubers.

The territory covered by representatives of agricultural organizations in the capital region is seventy-three and a half hectares.

Andrei Razin hastened to note that this year, potato fields on agricultural land in the Moscow region comprise a total of thirteen thousand hectares.

Most often, fields with potatoes can be found in the vast Dmitrovsky district, where by now farmers have worked wonderfully and managed to collect over one and a half thousand tons of tubers. Productivity averaged three hundred and ninety-eight centners per hectare.

It will not be superfluous to note that the most active phase of potato harvesting in the Russian Federation is scheduled for August this year. The collection is scheduled for mid-October.
