This year, over fifty-two thousand hectares were planted with winter rapeseed on the territory of agro-industrial companies of the Stavropol Territory, which allowed for a generous harvest of ninety-two thousand tons.

It is reported that rapeseed is cultivated by various categories of agricultural facilities throughout the territory of the region, but only a few districts can be called industry leaders.

For example, brilliant results in the cultivation of winter rapeseed varieties were demonstrated by the agrarians of Ipatovsky district. They managed to successfully cultivate rapeseed in territories with a total area of ​​eight thousand seven hundred hectares.

The second place is occupied by the agrarians of the Petrovsky district, who in 2019 planted over four thousand seven hundred hectares of farmland. And in third place are the farmers of the Grachevsky district with an indicator of four thousand three hundred hectares of rapeseed this year.

It should be noted the effectiveness of the agrarians of Kursk, Novoselitsky, Izobilnensky, Blagodarnensky and other areas, which every year increase their productivity and land area for the cultivation of rapeseed.

According to Andrei Oleinikov, who is the deputy head of the Stavropol Ministry of Agriculture, the most productive region this year is Kochubeyevsky. Local farmers managed to collect on average over forty-three centners of rapeseed from each hectare.

The average yield of the region in the current season is equal to fourteen centners from each regional hectare. Most often, in the open spaces with rape, one could meet such varieties of culture as Labrador, Loris, Sammy and Elvis.
