The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has concluded an agreement with the administration of the Omsk Region that over the next five years, the region will significantly increase production of meat products and dairy products - by 8.2% and 7.7%, respectively.
In other words, by 2024, the production of pork, beef and other types of meat, as well as milk and its processed products should gain momentum compared to the current level.
In addition, according to the information of the head of the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry, Kharon Amerkhanov, over the same period of time, the level of production of poultry meat that is grown for slaughter should be increased.
Meat production in the Omsk region over five years should grow by 18.3 thousand tons per year at least. As for milk, an increase in production of 47.6 thousand tons per year is expected here.
It is noteworthy that to date, the Omsk region has reached full self-sufficiency in meat and milk production (by 105.3%).
These data allow analysts to suggest that the export pace of the region will increase in the near future, says Charon Amerkhanov, and meat and dairy products of Omsk farmers will go both to other regions of the Russian Federation and outside the country.
