According to the administration of the Amur region, the region today is completely free of rabies virus.
All quarantine measures have been canceled, which is confirmed by the signature of the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov.
According to the head of the regional administration, by now all the foci of rabies have been eliminated. At the site of outbreaks, leading experts of authorized services implemented all the measures for localization, elimination and prevention of infection.
Orlov also note that all domestic animals and livestock from the central regions, as well as from the south of the region, were subjected to mass vaccination. And, fortunately, since then in areas that have been affected by the rabies virus, no new outbreaks have been reported.
It is known that today experts assess the situation in the Amur Region for rabies as favorable. This information was confirmed by Sergey Samokhvalov, who heads the General Directorate for Veterinary Medicine and Breeding Cattle Breeding in the region.
It will not be amiss to note that last spring, especially in March and April 2019, restrictive measures had to be taken in connection with rabies in eight districts of the Amur Region. However, by summer, the quarantine regime in these territories was officially abolished.
