Outbreaks of such a dangerous disease as brucellosis were recorded in the open spaces of the Penza region - in Serdobsky district. We are talking about two villages - Kirovo and Gulenovka.
It was there that, as a result of a routine examination of cattle, it was revealed that twenty-seven cows from the assets of local agricultural producers were infected with the brucellosis virus.
Such information was shared by Mikhail Maximov, head of the Penza Region Veterinary Control Department.
It is known that cows, whose body showed a positive reaction to brucellosis, were sent to a special site for slaughter and disposal of livestock, which is located in the Tambov region.
It will not be amiss to note that immediately, as soon as cases of brucellosis among cattle were detected in the region, farm owners immediately began to disinfect their farmsteads. In addition, pastures, as well as roads along which livestock are grazed, were treated with special disinfectants.
At the moment, the region bans the sale of dairy products, which were made from raw materials from Serdobsky farms. It is also important to add that experienced employees of Rospotrebnadzor conduct examinations and blood tests for residents of the region, who are at risk for brucellosis.
Recall that the disease is dangerous both for the animal organism and for humans, affecting various systems - from the nervous and musculoskeletal to cardiovascular and urogenital. The quarantine regime in the region was set for three months, but the duration of the restrictions depends on how “sticky” and ferocious brucellosis in the region will be.
