March 2019 was marked by an unprecedented event for agricultural workers involved in poultry farming and processing of poultry meat: from now on, the National Union of Poultry Breeders operates in the Russian Federation.
At the moment, it is known that the initiative to create such a union arose against the background of a probable threat to domestic poultry farms and poultry plants and the poultry industry as a whole, as well as due to constantly arising challenges to the integrity of the industry under the influence of epizootic factors.
It is also important that every day more and more the need to increase the volume of deliveries of Russian poultry and products from it to foreign trading platforms is growing. This was reported by the press service of the meat processing company Cherkizovo. According to the company, Sergey Lakhtyukhov, who, as you know, was previously the head of the Russian Veterinary Association, was appointed director general of the National Poultry Breeders. In addition, the directorate of the National Union now includes employees of companies such as “Prioskolye”, “N.I. Tkachev Agrocomplex”, as well as members of the BEZRK-Belgrankorm holding, members of the Cherkizovo and PRODO groups, and representatives of the Resource agricultural group.
At the moment, it is not a secret that the NSP participants will put the improvement of quality standards and norms of Russian poultry meat, tightening control over the safety of goods and raising the export potential of the poultry sector to a new level among their priority tasks. Let's add that members of the National Union intend to to establish analytical processes in the poultry industry, so that public and state information on relevant issues is timely and relevant. The task of creating a favorable working environment for domestic entrepreneurs in the poultry industry is also important.
